It’s that time of year again. You’ve got your list and you’re starting to make your way through it, but something is off. This isn’t the same experience as last year, or even this month for that matter. Maybe it was those two extra cups of coffee you had this morning, or maybe one too many slices of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving dinner?
Whatever the reason may be, there are a few counterintuitive tips below to help get back on track and crush your Lightning Names goals!
1.) Take care of your sleep- Lack of sleep has been shown to increase anxiety levels and decreases productivity during work hours. Aim for 7-9 hours per night by winding down before bedtime with soothing activities like reading a book, meditating or listening to calming music. Keep electronics out of the bedroom and keep your room dark at night for optimal sleep quality. Stay on a regular schedule by going to bed and getting up around the same time every day (weekends included). Your internal clock will thank you! If possible, take a nap during your lunch break as opposed to drinking caffeine or other energy drinks that are less healthy than restful naps. The more rested you are, the better able you’ll be to concentrate when it’s time for work – so make sure all aspects of self care are working in tandem with each other!
