When You Think I’m Afraid, but Actually Confident: Life Lessons

If you asked me what I was doing right now, I would tell you that I am writing a blog post. But what are my thoughts and feelings? Am I afraid of people seeing this? Do I feel insecure about what others will think of me? No, not at all. In fact, if anything it feels like the opposite: like a chance to show people who I truly am and share some life lessons with them. This is the day that we’re in charge!

What Would You Think If You Saw Me Doing These Things Right Now?

It’s OK for you to be scared or nervous about something – but don’t let that stop you from doing things anyway. We only have one shot at life so make sure your passions are leading your way through it! Finding yourself isn’t just an occasional journey; every single person has their own personal path they need to take to find themselves.

There are a lot of things that people might think when they see me do what I’m doing right now, but the fact is: there’s no way for them to know in my head or heart and their opinion doesn’t matter as much as mine does. If anything, it feels like an opportunity to show who I truly am – and maybe share some life lessons with whoever reads this post. This is the day that we’re all in charge!

What Did You Think Would Happen When Somebody Saw Me Doing These Things?

I would be worried about what other people might think or say if they saw me doing these things.

And that’s not because I’m afraid of what you’ll do to me in the future, but because sometimes it feels as though we are all so concerned with what will happen tomorrow and can’t enjoy today. It’s easy to spend your whole life worrying about somebody else’s thoughts when there is no guarantee on how much time any one person has left at this moment – just like right now!

If anything, a lot of people probably thought I was confident in my actions. And for good reason too: confidence is something that we should always have! There’s always a chance that we will find what is missing in our lives.

It’s easy to be afraid of the future, but if you’ve already found what makes your life worth living then why should it matter? Why not enjoy every moment without worrying about tomorrow because there are so many things out there that nobody can control and live for yourself!

Live for today instead of waiting until tomorrow.”

And that’s not because I’m afraid of what you’ll do to me in the future, but because sometimes it feels as though we are all so concerned with what could happen.

-If I don’t have anything to worry about in the future, then why should it matter? Life is for now and not tomorrow.”

-“It’s always nice to find someone who won’t judge us no matter what happens,” she says. “I wish more people were like that sometimes. If somebody tells me they can do something out loud but really feels too scared to try it themselves, then it probably means their secret is safe with me.”

-I’d like to be able to live without fear, but I think that’s not going to happen. Fear is what makes life worth living in the first place because it forces us into action and gives our lives a sense of purpose.”

-“What are you afraid will happen if we let go?” he asks her. “We’ll feel better,” she replies. “The only thing left for us would be consequence, which isn’t nearly as scary as what we’re already feeling now.”

-It scares me when people don’t know how much they’ve accomplished until they see themselves reflected back through someone else’s eyes” ~Brené Brown

-To set an example: When somebody saw me going through my college library and reading

books I was interested in, they came up to me with a brown paper bag. “You can’t take books out of the library,” she said, shoving it at me. But when you see someone like that, first humanize them by reminding yourself what their story is.” “I think we need more humans who aren’t afraid to show vulnerability.

-It’s hard not to be disappointed or angry when people don’t behave the way we expect them too, but maybe not knowing what will happen next keeps life interesting? Or scary?”

-“What happens if everyone suddenly starts being nice to one another? What would life be like without any drama?”

-I want to believe that if we can have more conversations about what’s going on in our heads and hearts, then maybe someday the things I worry about won’t be such a big deal.
